Morgan is One!

Happy Birthday to our sweet baby Morgan! You are such a joy to us! I cannot believe you have been with us for a whole year now and yet I can't remember how our family was before you were here. You have brought so much love, sweetness, happiness (craziness?) and joy to our family. Thank you for coming and making our family complete. We would have missed so much if you weren't here. We love you so much!

Finished Sewing (for the moment!)

Finally completely finished all sewing and accessories for Easter/Morgan's birthday! Now I just have to wait until April 4th to show it off! I can't wait to post pictures of my cute girlies in their new outfits (my niece, too!).

Birthday sewing

I spent most of the day sewing, of course, especially after Adam's "no sew weekend." It was fabulous to be back at my machine. I was able to Madison's and Marley's Easter things finished and I'm half-way done with Morgan's and my niece's birthday outfits. (Pictures will come after Easter so that my sister-in-law won't peek at the outfit!) I think I will take the day off tomorrow; my machine and I both need a break!

No Sew Weekends

Adam has declared weekends as "no sew." I have been working for over a month on a project for Morgan's and my niece's birthdays, and some stuff for the Drama Queens for Easter. The birthday project has been challenging, to say the least, so I may have gotten a tad (just a tad) frustrated over the last few weeks when sewing. Ergo, no sew weekends. Of course, now that I can't sew, it's all I want to do! Can't wait for Monday! :)

Spring Break!!

So happy to have Spring Break finally here! I'm really looking forward to having my girls home for two weeks. Hopefully we'll be able to do some fun things around the house and outside to welcome Spring. We also had Spring-type news today...my sister-in-law is expecting baby number 2 in September! This will be the second baby born this year in the Smith family as Adam's sister is also expecting her first baby at the end of August. Very exciting! And Morgan will have lots of little cousins to play and grow with.

Okay, definitely a learning curve with this blog stuff! And I fear this will be just as addicting as Facebook (poor Adam!). I was playing for hours last night on www.thecutestblogontheblock.com with all the fun stuff to pretty up blogs. I've learned that clearly I'm not as internet savvy as I thought I was; there are so many things that one can add: links, pictures, lists, favorites; I don't even know how or where to begin! I love learning new things, though, so blogging should be a fun adventure.

Here we go....

So, I've jumped on the blogging bandwagon. We'll see how long I can stay on without falling off! Most of the time I share the things going on in my life on Facebook, but now with the girls getting older, I wanted something more detailed. I'm really hoping I'll be able to hang with this as a way to "journal" our crazy life. Plus, it'll be nice to have a place to rant and rave and vent. Now, I must get this page lookin' cute!
